New Donor Register website based on Tridion & .NET goes live!

In recent years, nearly 5,000,000 people have indicated their wish to be an organ donor through submitting a paper form.
In accordance with the stated government goal to provide more online services, since recently it has been possible to complete this process totally online. The donor register, an executive institution of the Ministry of Public Health, Welfare and Sport and part of the CIBG, has had both a completely new website and underlying application developed. Indivirtual handled the website, Sogeti the underlying application and database.
Indivirtual has a strongly distinctive ability to develop accessible and user-friendly websites. The Donor Register website likewise meets the Certified Accessible standards and conforms to the government guidelines for websites.
The guidelines were incorporated and followed from the start of the project. In functional design, graphic design and xHTML, the concepts of accessibility, durability, traceability and user-friendliness are still the basic principles.
The website itself was realized in a combination of Tridion and .NET. Tridion was utilized as Content Management System and .NET for the website navigation and forms linking to external services and the back-end application.
Authentication on the website occurs with the help of DigiD*. Available information for those people already listed in the register is shown immediately. The will may then be viewed and/or changed. For those people not yet registered, personal data from the LRD (National Consulting Subset) are shown, whereupon the will may be filled out.
