Features & benefits

Translation meets Web Content Management

Translation Manager 2.0 enables you to configure your translation needs within your existing BluePrint structure. This includes defining both the source and target language of your typical translation processes.

Since Translation Manager uses R5 security, you can ensure that only authorized content contributors can initiate translation.

The integration with R5 also provides translation for all online communication including text content, metadata, structure and navigation elements.

Defined processes

Translation jobs can comprise anything from a single piece of text to an entire section of your Web site. This allows you to have full control over the translation of entire campaigns enabling coordinated rollout across multiple country sites.

Creating and sending a translation job is as easy as a click of your mouse. After you define a translation job and send it for translation, Translation Manager takes over and collects all relevant content and sends it to your translation vendors.

The content being translated is not only automatically checked-out from the system, but after the translation is complete all of the translated items are automatically checked-in to the correct location (publication, folder or structure group) within R5

This allows you to review, approve and use the translated content as soon as it is available: no extra processing is required.

Monitoring

To ensure that all translation jobs follow your schedule and so that you can be assured of the progress of your activities, Translation Manager provides monitoring capabilities. These monitoring capabilities enable you to easily see the status of any translation job. This means that you always know which jobs are queued, sent to translation and completed. By automating publishing, you can instantly view completed translations within your staging environment to allow for fast reviews.

Notification

In addition to the monitoring capabilities, you can also use e-mail notifications to keep all of those who are involved in using translated content or those responsible for translations in-the-loop regarding the status of the translation at any point in time.
